The Trinity Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Lake Country Christian Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Trinity Christian came up short against Pantego Christian and fell 55-45. Trinity Christian has not had much luck with Pantego Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Lake Country Christian was beaten by Grace Prep 74-37 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Lake Country Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 987th, while Grace Prep is ranked 224th).
Trinity Christian has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. As for Lake Country Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-26.
Trinity Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Country Christian when the teams last played back in January, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
