Baseball Game Preview: Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars vs. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies

The Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars will face off against the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hinckley-Finlayson took on Ogilvie on Tuesday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hinckley-Finlayson got a good showing from Asher Clark, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Carson Hopkins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Hopkins is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Risley, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] got the win against East Central on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-4. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Hinckley-Finlayson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
