The Curlew Cougars entered their tilt with the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. Curlew skirted past Almira-Coulee-Hartline 39-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Curlew has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Emma Lena Baker, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 15 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Sonsteng, who scored six points.
Curlew pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curlew will take on Northport at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
