On Thursday, West Jordan had to suffer through a rough 64-36 loss at the hands of Arbor View. West Jordan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.
Arbor View can attribute much of their success to Pharaoh Compton, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maximus Romero, who scored 3 points along with 8 assists and 4 steals.
West Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Arbor View, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
West Jordan will face off against Layton Christian Academy at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Layton Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Monday. As for Arbor View, they will head out on the road to face off against Corner Canyon at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Corner Canyon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Arbor View in the nation (Corner Canyon is ranked 30th in Utah, while Arbor View is ranked 100th in Nevada).
