Harpeth and Greenbrier are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. Harpeth is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
On Thursday, Harpeth came up short against Creek Wood and fell 60-52. While losing is never fun, Harpeth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while Creek Wood is ranked 112th).
Meanwhile, Greenbrier scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Liberty Creek with a sharp 68-45 victory. That looming 68-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Greenbrier yet this season.
It was another big night for Nolan Carson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Greenbrier's points. Ethan Crumby was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Harpeth bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Greenbrier, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season.
