Timberline is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Meridian a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Timberline Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Meridian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Timberline put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Ridgevue as they made off with a 13-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won five in a row.
Brooklynn Reed spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Ivy Norskog was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Breanna Duncan, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Timberline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Meridian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Centennial, sneaking past 17-16.
Reagan Morris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Alexia Flygaire was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Olivia Lopez was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Timberline, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
Everything went Timberline's way against Meridian in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Timberline made off with a 14-2 victory. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
