The West Mecklenburg Hawks will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against the Palisades Pumas at 7:30  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 West Mecklenburg was handed a three-point  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Garinger  on Tuesday. West Mecklenburg really took it to Garinger for the full four quarters, racking up a  67-35 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory West Mecklenburg has managed all season.
  Isaiah Morrison-crawford and  Chase Mcdonald were among the main playmakers for West Mecklenburg as the former  scored 12 points along with six  steals and five  rebounds and the latter  scored 21 points along with four  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Mcdonald has scored all season.  Cam Higgins was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with six  rebounds and four  steals.
 Meanwhile, Palisades ended up a good deal behind Ardrey Kell on Friday and lost  77-63. Palisades has not had much luck with Ardrey Kell recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Jyler Standifer, who  scored 18 points along with seven  rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matthew Dillard, who  scored 16 points along with two  blocks.
 West Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Palisades, their defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-7.
 West Mecklenburg came up short against Palisades when the teams last played  back in February of 2023, falling  69-60. Can West Mecklenburg avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
