After a string of six wins, Telluride's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They came up short against  the Dolores Bears, falling  3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  back in September.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13,  25-12.
  Ford Fenton and  Lillyann Mahoney certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Fenton  had 11  digs and two  aces, while  Mahoney  had nine  assists and five  digs. Fenton has been hot recently, having  posted ten or more  digs the last three times she's  played.
Telluride's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Dolores, their win was  their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 19-1.
 Looking ahead, Telluride will host Nucla  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Dolores, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  3-0  victory against Crested Butte on the 24th.
