Basketball Recap: Northwood Temple Academy Triumphs

Northwood Temple Academy proved they can win big back in December of 2024 (they won by 34) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders.

Northwood Temple Academy found their leader in sophomore Kyleigh Ramos, who posted 16 points. Ramos has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Ella Willis was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Northwood Temple Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwood Temple Academy will face off against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Northwood Temple Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they will challenge Faith Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th.
