Basketball Recap: Utopian Academy for the Arts Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lamar County

Utopian Academy for the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 95-90 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lamar County Trojans. One positive for Utopian Academy for the Arts, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Utopian Academy for the Arts lost, don't look at Quevion Johnson. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 35 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in steals. Jace Franklin was another key player, going 7 of 8 on his way to 17 points and five boards.

Utopian Academy for the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Lamar County, they moved to 6-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
