Even though the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Franklin Academy Patriots still came out on top. Franklin Academy managed a 62-56 win over the Unicorns. The win made it back-to-back wins for Franklin Academy.
Franklin Academy was led to victory by Hayes Lewis and Micah Rutledge. Lewis scored 18 points along with eight rebounds, while Rutledge scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last five times he's played. Jaden Lewis was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Franklin Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for NCSSM: Durham, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
