The KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers won the last time they faced the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs, and things went their way on Friday too. KIPP Denver Collegiate walked away with a 50-37 victory over Addenbrooke Classical Academy.
Despite the loss, Addenbrooke Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: Calum Michelsen scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds. Michelsen scored a full 37.8% of Addenbrooke Classical Academy's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Wingrove, who scored 4 points.
KIPP Denver Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Denver Collegiate will face off against Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocky Mountain Lutheran comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Addenbrooke Classical Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Loveland Classical at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
