Jefferson Academy and Peak to Peak are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Jaguars will face off against the Pumas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Jefferson Academy turned things around against The Academy on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 9-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jefferson Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austen Bauer, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Bauer a new career-high. Finn Slavin was another, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Peak to Peak got the win against Kent Denver on Saturday by a conclusive 9-2. The Pumas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.
Cooper Campbell made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Dane Hirt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Peak to Peak is 6-2 when Hirt posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Drew Kraft, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Peak to Peak is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson Academy, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 3-16-1.
