Marlington had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Springfield Spartans with a sharp 10-2 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Dukes sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Justine Doringo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched.
