Velasquez scored 17 points along with four steals, while Cota-cordova scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Velasquez is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Mikey Orawiec was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Colorado Springs Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Ellicott, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
