The Mountain View Lobos waltzed into their game Tuesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They blew past Irvin 51-8 at home. Considering Mountain View has won eight games by more than 26 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Jisell Huizar, who scored 23 points along with four steals. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ximena Robles, who scored 13 points.
Mountain View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Irvin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
