On Thursday, Shelley made easy work of Skyline and carried off a 3-0 win.
While Shelley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Idaho Falls got the win against Blackfoot on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.
Idaho Falls never let Blackfoot on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 27-25.
Idaho Falls' win came from a few key players Shelley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Addison Bowen, who had 21 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Thompson, who had nine digs.
Shelley's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Idaho Falls, their win bumped their record up to 23-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Shelley has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5 aces per game. However, it's not like Idaho Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
