Clemente has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the North Grand Eagle Owls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clemente comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 46-12, which was the final score in Clemente's tilt against Von Steuben on Thursday.
Meanwhile, North Grand's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 39-31 to Von Steuben.
Despite the defeat, North Grand had strong showings from Tyajeonna Bell, who scored 17 points along with seven steals, and Milagros Bolanos, who scored ten points along with six steals. Bolanos continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Clemente's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.4 points per game. As for North Grand, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
