It was a proper cat-fight when Southern Columbia Area took on Bloomsburg on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 17-1 victory. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Southern Columbia Area got a massive performance out of Andrew Novak, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Andrews, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Southern Columbia Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloomsburg only posted an OBP of .182.

The win made it two in a row for Southern Columbia Area and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Bloomsburg, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Southern Columbia Area will challenge Loyalsock Township at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
