Basketball Recap: Midlothian Heritage Extends Winning Streak to Three

Midlothian Heritage took a 23-point loss the last time they faced off against Kaufman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars skirted past the Kaufman Lions 38-36. The victory was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Midlothian Heritage's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Batty, who posted 15 points. The contest was Batty's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Finch, who put up ten points.

Kaufman's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubre Prox, who had 19 points and four steals. Kaylee Wrenn was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Midlothian Heritage's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. As for Kaufman, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars challenge the Midlothian Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Midlothian Heritage surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kaufman, they will host Ennis at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaufman is facing Ennis at the right time seeing as Ennis is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
