Given Estacado's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Snyder is ranked 660th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Snyder still got an impressive performance from Jayci Medrano, who scored eight points along with two steals. Medrano has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Estacado is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 20-12 record this season. As for Snyder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-19.
Estacado will take on Brownwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Estacado is coming into the contest with three straight victories on the road, meaning Brownwood will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Snyder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
