Nixon simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Mission Veterans Memorial 91-43 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Nixon has managed all season.
Jose Escobar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and ten steals. Those ten steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Garcia, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Nixon's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Nixon will take on Cigarroa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
