Basketball Recap: Lake Lure Classical Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Tookie Tate and Elijah Hill- Moore

Lake Lure Classical Academy was the 79-24 winner over Community Christian Academy when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raptors took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Lake Lure Classical Academy had strong showings from Elijah Hill- Moore, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards, and Tookie Tate, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Hill- Moore is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ashawn Camp, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Leading Community Christian Academy to victory were Chaden Poole and JeKobe Floyd. Poole posted 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Floyd earned 21 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Cruzan, who scored six points and ten rebounds.

Lake Lure Classical Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Community Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lake Lure Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-59 defeat against Cherryville on the 21st. As for Community Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-59 victory against Veritas Christian Academy on the 20th.
