Southern Nash had to suffer through a rough 71-34 loss at the hands of South Granville. Southern Nash was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayden Hartsfield, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was George Richardson, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Corinth Holders pushed their score all the way to 79 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 96-79 fall against West Johnston. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Tuesday (74), Corinth Holders still had to take the loss.
Like Southern Nash, Corinth Holders lost despite seeing results from several players. Max Carlson led the charge by scoring 30 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Carlson scored a full 38% of Corinth Holders' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tyler Sandaire was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Southern Nash's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Corinth Holders, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Southern Nash didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Corinth Holders in their previous meeting last Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 78-74 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Corinth Holders' Carlson, who scored 22 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
