Baseball Recap: Bothell Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Bothell barely beat Hazen the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars never let the Highlanders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Teyton Hardeman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Mickelberry, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. Drew Marino was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bothell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hazen only posted a batting average of .125.

Bothell pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hazen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
