The Mt. Shasta Bears will head out on the road to  take on  the Fall River Bulldogs  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Mt. Shasta is coming into the  match hot, having won their last five games.

Trinity came into Tuesday's   matchup looking for another win against Mt. Shasta, but  Kaley Lanier wouldn't allow it. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Wolves  on Tuesday thanks in part to  Lanier, who  had 43  digs. She has been hot for a while, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last 24 times she's  played.
 Mt. Shasta was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (102-99), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 12-25, 25-16, 22-25,  15-13.
  Amirra Funk and  Madelyn Harrison were among the main playmakers for Mt. Shasta as the former  had 12  digs and two  aces and the latter  had 12  digs and ten  kills. That's the most  digs  Harrison has posted  over her last six  contests.
Meanwhile, Fall River came up short against  Etna on Tuesday, falling  3-0.
 While Fall River was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-24,  25-12.
 Mt. Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 14-5-2. As for Fall River, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Mt. Shasta was able to grind out a solid  win over Fall River in their previous meeting  back in September, winning  3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
