This season hasn't been kind to the South Rowan Raiders, who are still winless after their 11th contest. The New Year welcomed they with a 85-39 whooping from Concord on Friday. South Rowan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-23.
Concord got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Howard out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. The match was Howard's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Tyvonta Rushmeyer was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
South Rowan bumped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Concord, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
South Rowan will be playing at home against Lake Norman Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Norman Charter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 224 points over their last three games. As for Concord, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Cabarrus is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
