Baseball Recap: Green Level's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Green Level was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of the Chapel Hill Tigers by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Gators were not able to get on the board.

Dylan Hodges was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Green Level is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Green Level saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taisei Koyama, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Koyama's first of the season.

The defeat snapped Green Level's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Chapel Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Green Level has already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Holly Springs on the 25th. As for Chapel Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-3 defeat against Jordan on the 25th.
