Baseball Recap: Hamilton Has No Trouble Against Middletown

After only two runs in their last contest, Hamilton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Middletown on Tuesday. The Big Blue blew past the Middies 14-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-3 last Monday.

Landen Ledford tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Hamilton got a big performance out of Caleb Warner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was Warner's first of the season. Kaleb Powers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Hamilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Middletown, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
