DC International is 7-2 against Idea since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The DC International Dragons will welcome the Idea Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. DC International is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
DC International is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: SEED DC, who was ranked 24th at the time (DC International was ranked 21st). In a tight contest that could have gone either way, DC International made off with a 67-66 win over SEED DC. The Dragons haven't had any issues with SEED DC recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

DC International's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin Moore led the charge by dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten assists. What's more, Moore also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kai Hegwood, who made all 7 shots he took for 15 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Meanwhile, Idea came up short against Washington Leadership Academy on Friday and fell 64-51.
DC International will have to keep a close watch on Kaidyn Lewis and Sidy Koite, a pair of players who had a big impact on Idea's prior game. Lewis went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points in addition to six steals and five boards, while Koite went 5 for 10 to rack up 11 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. With that strong performance, Koite is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Tobias Hammett was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
Idea's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for DC International, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: DC International has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 22.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Idea struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
