The Beach Bulldogs will stay at home for another game and welcome the Liberty County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Saturday.
Beach has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 30 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Savannah Christian 54-18 at home.
Beach can attribute much of their success to Aziyria Phillips, who scored 10 points along with 8 steals, and Mariah Reid, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 steals. The game was Phillips' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Jones, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty County's 19-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 40-18 walloping at the hands of Wayne County on Saturday. Liberty County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Beach's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Liberty County, the last time they won on the road was back last Friday. Having now lost four straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 1-4.
Beach was dealt a bruising 54-20 defeat at the hands of Liberty County when the teams last played back in January. Can Beach avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
