Baker led Section 3 Class AA 1 in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Liverpool. Tyler Rouse ran for 388 yards in the win.
Rome Free Academy's dynamic duo of Angus Evans and Josh Reed proved tough for Auburn to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Evans threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns and Reed had 173 yards receiving. John Allen helped Rome Free Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 39 yards.
Proctor's Jordan Treen and Chris Simmons have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Treen has thrown for 1268 yards this season, while Simmons, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 23 catches for 522 yards. The Bees' Rouse leads the league in rushing yards with 1957.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Maroons take on Fayetteville-Manlius. At the moment, Auburn is in fourth, while the Hornets are in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Baker and the Raiders face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Carl Sanfillipo's team comes in having scored 275 this season, while Proctor has scored 192. The Bees scored 54 points last week as they topped the Warriors.
Baker made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,512 from 3,218. The advance stemmed from a 54-29 victory over Liverpool last week.
