Meanwhile, Palo Alto never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed by Oak Grove on the road to the tune of 40-0. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Eagles are ranked 672nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Palo Alto found their leader in underclassman Justin Fung, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Jake Wang was Fung's top target, picking up 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Palo Alto's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jeremiah Fung. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions both of which were returned for touchdowns.
The win got Christopher back to even at 1-1. As for Palo Alto, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
