Softball Recap: Woodcreek Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Woodcreek came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rio Americano Raiders a 7-0 shutout. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Woodcreek pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Rio Americano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
