The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle won the last time they faced the Granger Lancers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Juan Diego Catholic put the hurt on Granger with a sharp 65-43 win.
Luke Meyer was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was his 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tevarii Pecqueux, who scored 11 points.
Juan Diego Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Granger, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Juan Diego Catholic will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Cyprus is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Granger, they will head out on the road to face off against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Jordan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
