Springville has won three straight games at home, while Maple Mountain has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. Springville can attribute much of their success to William Carter, who had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Carter has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Maple Mountain got the win against Salem Hills on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Skyhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-21.
Maple Mountain found their leader in freshman McKay Beattie, who had 15 digs and one assist. Brody Harrison also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
Springville's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Maple Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 22-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's game: Springville hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 7.3 blocks per game. However, it's not like Maple Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 blocks. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
