Bonita Springs is 0-5 against Golden Gate since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Bonita Springs Bullsharks will get right back to it and host the Golden Gate Titans at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
Bonita Springs suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 52-16 loss at the hands of Lely. Bonita Springs was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.
Meanwhile, Golden Gate had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Immokalee with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-16.
Chrisna Charlot was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniah Buchanan, who scored 11 points.
Bonita Springs' loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.4 points per game. As for Golden Gate, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
Bonita Springs took a serious blow against Golden Gate in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 44-17. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bonita Springs was down 29-7.
