Ridgeline is 10-0 against the Bears since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ridgeline Riverhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Bear River Bears at 7:00 p.m. Ridgeline is looking to tack on another W to their 19-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Ridgeline stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Green Canyon 69-22 at home. With Ridgeline ahead 41-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Ridgeline relied on the efforts of Elise Livingston, who scored 20 points along with three steals, and Emilee Skinner, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Skinner is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 18 or more in the last 14 games she's played. Macie Brown was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Bear River came up short against the Bobcats on Thursday and fell 37-26. While losing is never fun, Bear River can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bobcats are ranked 29th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Saydee Pebley, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Shelby Wilkinson, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Bear River, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's matchup: Ridgeline have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 49.1% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Bear River, though, as they've only made 26.2% of their threes this season. Given Ridgeline's sizable advantage in that area, the Bears will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Ridgeline against the Bears when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 83-9 win. With Ridgeline ahead 52-2 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
