The Archbishop Curley Friars's five-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They strolled past Indian Creek with points to spare, taking the game 69-52. Archbishop Curley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Indian Creek still got an impressive performance from Aiden Evans, who scored 25 points. Evans scored a full 48.1% of Indian Creek's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Harvin, who scored 13 points.
Archbishop Curley's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Indian Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Archbishop Curley will head out on the road to face off against Annapolis Area Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Annapolis Area Christian is on a three-game streak of home losses, Archbishop Curley a three-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Indian Creek will take on Severn School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Severn School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Indian Creek in Maryland (Severn School is ranked 33rd, while Indian Creek is ranked 136th).
