Cary Christian lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Coastal Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Cary Christian Knights were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Coastal Christian Centurions on Thursday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 8-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jacob Reeves and Samuel Snyder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Reeves struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Snyder pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reeves has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Reeves went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Snyder scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Snyder has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Jackson Hill was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Reed Harvey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Cary Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Coastal Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cary Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Greensboro Day School at 4:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Coastal Christian, they will take on Thales Academy Rolesville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Thales Academy Rolesville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.25 runs per game on average), something Coastal Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of.
