Jasper Roseberry Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Cody-Kilgore had to settle for second even though Jasper Roseberry put up the best numbers he has all season. Roseberry rushed for 245 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (103.6) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Cody-Kilgore is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Roseberry and Cody-Kilgore will take on Minatare at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Jack Hunter Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Sioux County got the W thanks in part to Jack Hunter playing the best football he has all season. Hunter rushed for 243 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also made nine total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Hunter might have his next game, a home matchup with Crawford, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Hunter saw the Rams), he rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns.

Grady Gorwill Goes Supernova in Arthur County Victory
Grady Gorwill's big game helped extend Arthur County's winning streak to seven on Friday. Gorwill did his part (and then some), rushing for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries for the 'W'. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass.
Arthur County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Gorwill and Arthur County will venture away from home to challenge Hay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sioux County Gets a Boost from Reece in 60-42 Win
The second Sioux County player making an appearance here is Baxter Reece, and for good reason. He rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 86 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes.
On the season, Reece has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 53.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 29.77 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 79.06 passer rating.

A Season-Best Performance from Luis Mata Leads Hay Springs over Minatare
On Friday, Hay Springs got the W thanks in part to Luis Mata playing the best football he has all season. Mata rushed for 110 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win for Hay Springs keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Mata and Hay Springs will challenge Arthur County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
