Jordan Newman ran for two touchdowns and
Cody Burnfield added two as well as
Ansonia (Ohio) defeated Belmont (Dayton, Ohio) 58-20 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Nick Peters to
Coltin Stump in the first quarter, the Tigers led 38-14 at the half.
Ansonia grew its lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Burnfield.
Peters was the top performer for the Tigers. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
