Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

Franklin Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Somerset Academy Central Miramar Warriors 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Franklin Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-12, 15-11.

Wilson Panimbosa was nothing short of spectacular: he had 11 digs and 11 aces.

Somerset Academy Central Miramar's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin Academy Panthers take on Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Somerset Academy Central Miramar, they will venture away from home to square off against Victory Charter School at 4:00 p.m. on March 12th.
