Plum is 1-9 against Shaler Area since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Plum Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Shaler Area Titans at 7:30 p.m. Plum has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Plum pushed their score all the way to 62 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Armstrong. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (55), Plum still had to take the loss.
Even though Shaler Area has not done well against North Allegheny recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Shaler Area strolled past North Allegheny with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. Given Shaler Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while North Allegheny is ranked 176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Plum's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Shaler Area, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
