Even though Shaler Area has not done well against North Allegheny recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Shaler Area strolled past North Allegheny with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. Given Shaler Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while North Allegheny is ranked 176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Plum's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Shaler Area, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
