Almeta Crawford won the last time they faced Fort Bend Willowridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chargers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering the Chargers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Katelyn Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rodriguez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Maya Hanks was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Pomales-Ng, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Almeta Crawford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .621. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Almeta Crawford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Almeta Crawford is set to challenge their familiar foe Sealy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Tigers a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Fort Bend Willowridge will face off against rival Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
