Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Howell North

Howell North proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Liberty Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Eagles since October 9, 2019.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Howell North who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 23-25, 25-21, 19-25, 16-14.

Howell North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Slusser out in front who had 18 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Slusser has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of MiaBella Sander, who had 32 digs and two aces.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Howell North, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Howell North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Winfield on the 8th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Parkway West on the 6th.
