The Center Grove Trojans entered their tilt with the Martinsville Artesians with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Center Grove took their match on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 58-25 win over Martinsville. Given Center Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Martinsville is ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Center Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrey Annee, who scored 20 points. Annee continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrie Booker, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Center Grove pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21 points. As for Martinsville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center Grove will be home for the holidays to greet Lawrence North at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Martinsville will be home for the holidays to greet Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
