The Minto Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fort Yukon 69-21 on the road. That 69-21 margin sets a new team best for Minto this season.
Minto got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew David out in front who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jeff Frank, who scored 16 points.
Minto pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fort Yukon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Minto won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Walter Northway on January 5th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: David and he. Fort Yukon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
