Baseball Recap: Milwaukee Hamilton Victorious

While Milwaukee Hamilton's win against Augustine Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Lions 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Brayan Dipre made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Milwaukee Hamilton: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-10 otherwise. Dipre was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

One of them was Yeray Arroyo-Camacho, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Arroyo-Camacho is becoming a predictor of Milwaukee Hamilton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-10 when he doesn't). Another was Felix Gallegos, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Milwaukee Hamilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Milwaukee Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Augustine Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8-1.
