The Easley Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Easley has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Easley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Crews. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Will Patton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
It was another big night for Zeke Marshall, who scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Westside. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Marshall has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joshua Williams, who scored six points along with five steals.
Easley's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Westside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Easley will face off against Fountain Inn at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Fountain Inn is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Westside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berea at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
